Idubukele is part of the Doing 4U campaign, this promo looks at giving back to customers when they purchase any MTN data or Lula product.

The campaign is for MTN customers, designed to drive data bundle & Lula combo purchases, where customers who increase their spend in data will stand a chance to win monthly prizes. The promotion will run for 4 months, from 1st October 2024 to 31st January 2025.

  • Entry to the promo will be free and automatic for all MTN active Data Subscribers and new Data subscribers
  • Customers will earn points when they load bundles on any of our channels (*686#, *007#, *501#, MyMTN app and MoMo App) when they load data or combo bundles. E1.00 = 1 Point
  • All prepaid customers are eligible except MTN employees or employee’s spouses or MTN channel partners (such as franchisees, distributors, sales agents, etc.) and numbers should not be in use for any M2M (Machine to Machine).
  • Each customer will have a target of E25.
  • Customers will be able to see their target displayed under the View Targets menu.
  • Target will reset monthly.
  • Only purchases done on Data bundles/Combo bundles will be considered for points.
  • A customer cannot win the same category prize more than once for the duration of the promo.
  • All active, reconnected and new Data subscribers will be automatically opted into the promo for free.

  • A customer can dial *3333# or *686# to check their target and if they have reached the needed points to qualify for draws.

  • Weekly winners will be announced at the roadshows
  • Grand prize & monthly winners will be contacted and announced on media platforms.

A total of E1.5 million will be won throughout the promo.

  • 40 x Weekly winners: First month (during the roadshows)– each customer will win E10 000 (E400,000)
  • 30 x Weekly winners: Second month – each customer will win E15 000 (E450,000)
  • 10 x Weekly winners: Third month – each customer will win E20 000 (E200,000)
  • 25 x E500 Weekly Momo winners, with a total of 300 winners by end of competition– Customer needs to have bought a data bundle or Lula combo to qualify
  • 1 x Monthly grand prize winner of E200,000 – 1 customer will win E200,000 if they meet their monthly target.
  • 3 x Trolley Dash winners per roadshow, total of 12 roadshows and 36 total winners (E108 000)
  • Draws will be carried out by an independent auditor.

Lula Combo is an offering that provides customers with a bundled voice, data, sms, social as well as offnet voice. Customers will be able to enjoy on-minutes, off-net minutes on this bundle as well as anytime data and social data.

Combos are segmented into 3 groups:

  • Added value on the data and cash-back. ​

  • Youth/Pulse offer is only available 25 years and below
  • The youth/Pulse offer has same pricing as the mass offer with an additional bolt-on of social bundles.​

Cash-back is 3% of the cost of bundle.​

Cash-back will be redeemed as MoMo and paid out monthly.

These will be purchased via all our platforms *686*3#, *007#, Seamless, MyMTN app, Bank Apps and MoMo app, choose combos​.

When a customer purchases these monthly combos, they will receive them and have their data split into anytime data and social data. For voice these will be split between onnet minutes and offnet minutes, with onnet minutes being for MTN to MTN calls. Whilst offnet minutes are for MTN to Other Local networks.

What can the Lula Combos be used for?What can the Lula Combos be used for?
  • Anytime data – This is an anytime data bundle that can be used for all browsing on the MTN network.
  • Night data – This is night time data that can be used between 9PM and 5AM.
  • Social data – This is social data that can access social media sites such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter.
  • On net minutes – Voice minutes used to call MTN to MTN numbers
  • Off net minutes – Voice minutes used to call MTN to other local networks.
  • IDD/Roaming – This is International calling airtime or Roaming airtime for browsing the internet in other countries.
  • SMS – Short messaging used for MTN to MTN messages
  • Cashback – This is a loyalty programme where customers can redeem their points into mobile money.
Can the bundle be transferred?Can the bundle be transferred?

Bundles cannot be transferred to another customer but it can be purchased  for another customer.
